On December 9, 2022, Officers from the Abingdon Police Department were contacted by the Abingdon-Avon Middle School about a theft of admissions money from a Girls' Basketball game.                               

An investigation into the incident lead to the arrest of Brenda Conrad (age 51 of Abingdon) on December 20, 2022.  Conrad was charged with Theft under $500.  Conrad was transported to the Knox County Jail where she was booked and released with a Notice to Appear in Court.
