On Wednesday, December 14, 2022 the Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to the Knox County Courthouse, Traffic Division for a threat's complaint.

Deputies learned that Matthew K Sullivan called the traffic division about ongoing cases and threatened to "shoot up" the courthouse.

Knox County Sheriff Jack C. Harlan ordered the Knox County Courthouse to be placed on a lockdown until the situation was under control.

Deputies quickly located Sullivan at a residence in Galesburg.  Sullivan was taken into custody before any threats could be carried out.

Matthew K. Sullivan, 30 years of age, Galesburg IL was charged with: Felony Disorderly Conduct.

Sullivan is currently being held at the Knox County Jail awaiting bond.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
