Judicial-Based Therapist (Bridgeway)

This clinical therapist position is located directly within the Knox County Sheriff's Department jail location, providing therapy/counseling in the areas of mental health and substance use for those individuals currently incarcerated and experiencing behavioral health issues.  This treatment is based on assessment and medical necessity and consistent with an individualized treatment plan.  The therapist will also provide input to the Sheriff's Department and legal system on progress and recommendations for individuals within the system. This position will also assist with crisis intervention and support to the Sheriff's Department as needed.

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field with internship in counseling is required. LCPC, LCSW or LMFT licensure or licensure-eligible degree and willingness to work toward licensure is also required.
