Search warrant leads to methamphetamine arrest

PRESS RELEASE

 

As a result of a methamphetamine investigation, the Knox County sheriff's Department, with the assistance of the Galesburg Police Department Tactical Team, executed a search warrant on Thursday, May 5th at approximately 7 a.m. at 623 Lincoln St in Galesburg, Illinois.

During the execution of the search warrant, evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing, as well as materials to produce methamphetamine, a small amount of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia was found throughout the residence.

Children were found within the residence at the time this warrant was served.

ASHLEY A. CLAEYS, a 31 year old female, was arrested at the location and was charged with:

Methamphetamine Participation
Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials
Child Endangerment
Possession of Methamphetamine under 5 grams

Assisting the Knox County Sheriff's Department was the Galesburg Police Department, Peoria MEG, Illinois State Police, Methamphetamine Response Team, and Galesburg Hospital's Ambulance Service.
