          - Burglary
          - Robbery
          - Sex Crimes
          - Felony Theft
          - Financial Crime
          - Child Abuse
          - Narcotics & Methamphetamine Investigations

Detectives are  also assigned cases involving:

          - Missing Persons Investigations
          - Locating & Apprehending Fugitives
          - Cases Involving Equivocal Death & Suicide
          - Background Checks on Prospective Employees
          - Internal Investigations

The Investigations Division routinely works with and  assists local area law enforcement agencies as well as Federal (FBI, DEA, BATF) and State (Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Corrections, Attorney General's Office)  Agencies.

The Investigations Divison's office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM.   A Detective is on-call nights, weekends and all Holidays.
