Search warrants lead to 2 men being arrested for stolen property offenses

On Wednesday, 06/27/18, the Knox County Sheriff’s Department was requested to assist the Knoxville Police Department with a Search Warrant at 101 E. Fourth St in East Galesburg, IL. During this search, several stolen items were identified from burglaries that the Knox County Sheriff’s Department was investigating. A second search warrant was granted and over $5,000 worth of property was recovered. The sole occupant and property owner Luke Simkins was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.
A short time later, the Knoxville Police Department, along with the Galesburg Police Department, executed a Search Warrant at 115 N. Farnham St, Galesburg, IL. The sole occupant and property owner Adam Fowler was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail. A Knox County Investigator responded to the address on Farnham St and identified numerous stolen items from burglaries that the Knox County Sheriff’s Department were investigating. A second Search Warrant was granted and approximately $10,000 worth of stolen property was recovered.
This investigation is ongoing. More charges and/or arrests are pending.
Agencies involved include Knoxville Police Department, Galesburg Police Department, East Galesburg Police Department, BNSF Police, and pending other agencies.
